We could not find the tool we needed. So we built it.
Indusiax is not a start-up that “identified a market”. It is a French industrial SME that went looking for software for its trade, found none that fitted, and ended up making its own — good enough to be shared.
It all started with frustration, not a brilliant idea. A French mechanical engineering and industrial equipment company was looking — like thousands of other small and mid-sized companies in the sector — for management tools that matched the way it worked: a CRM that understood it sold machines and service, not SaaS subscriptions; a way to keep track of the assessments carried out at customers' sites, to keep a record of meetings, to show off its expertise without spending its evenings on it.
It looked at what was out there. The big CRMs on the market? Cut out for armies of sales reps in suits, full of “leads” and “pipelines” — not for a technician who strips down a gearbox in the morning and writes up the report in the evening. Field service tools? Prohibitively expensive, or designed for multinationals with a dedicated IT department. Automatic meeting-minutes tools? Every one of them ready to ship its most confidential recordings off to an American cloud giant.
So it did what industrial people do when a part is not in the catalogue: it machined it in-house. First for itself. No business plan, no fundraising, no market study — just a real need, solved with the means at hand and tested in real conditions every day.
The results spoke for themselves. Quotes went out faster. Follow-ups stopped being forgotten. Service reports became clean, signed and professional. Meetings left a record instead of evaporating. The LinkedIn account, silent for years, came to life.
That is where the idea for Indusiax was born: if we were missing these tools, others surely were too. Not “tech companies”. Companies like ours — that sell, service, manufacture and maintain, and have neither the time nor the inclination to wrestle with software that does not speak their language.

A sketch on the corner of a workbench. Not a 40-page specification.
Before the code, there was a concrete problem on a Tuesday morning — and the determination to fix it by Friday.
A story in four stages.
The problem
No software on the market truly speaks the language of our industry.
We build for ourselves
No outside funding, no marketing roadmap — just solving our own working day.
It works, for real
Used every day, in real conditions, by our own teams — the best test there is.
We share it
Indusiax is born: putting these tools in the hands of companies facing the same realities.
“By industry, for industry” is not a slogan an agency sold us. It is our birth certificate.
We are neither smarter nor faster than the established software publishers. We simply have one advantage no marketing budget can buy: we use our own tools, every day, in our own business. When a screen is badly designed, we are the first to trip over it.
Three convictions behind every product decision.
Simplicity takes work
A tool the team does not use is worthless, however complete it may be. Every screen is designed for someone with better things to do than data entry.
A customer is not a “lead”
In industry, business relationships last for years, sometimes decades. Our tools respect that long view: history, traceability, memory.
